Paul Beuk 18 December 2016 09:29:15
I have seen both but the latter seems to be favoured.

Xerophile = who likes dry habitats (e.g. cactus is a xerophile plant).
oceanlis2000 09 December 2016 11:36:07

Hello, Sericomyia-Arctophila... this synonymy is based on Nearctic material only. Although very respected authors, I think it is not wise to follow this synonymy without studying palearctic Arctophila
Paul Beuk 29 November 2016 13:37:51
Approaching 2/3s, which I consider a very good result already. But there is room for improvement. Wink
rvanderweele 28 November 2016 17:26:40
so, Paul, almost 50% of the costs is not covered yet.
Marcello 28 November 2016 13:40:09
Thanks Theo! So it "should" be Sericomyia (Arctophila) bombiformis.
Zeegers 28 November 2016 11:45:24
It is a matter of opinion. Some (modern) authors consider Arctophila no longer valid at genus level.
Marcello 25 November 2016 07:51:08
Hello! Can someone please tell me what's the actual name for Arctophila bombiforme? There are: Sericomyia (Arctophila) bombiformis, Sericomyia bombiformis and Arctophila bombiforme. Thanks Smile

FYI: The name can also refer to the Dipteran family Clusiidae, named after the genus Heteroneura (= Clusiodes).
oceanlis2000 19 November 2016 11:17:38
Thanks John that's looks good
John Carr 18 November 2016 23:29:54
Hétéroneurides may be Heteroneura (Lepidoptera exclusive of a few primitive leaf miners).
