Fly caught inside house 27 sept . Is this Desmometopa varipalpis or are there look alikes?
Any help appreciated!

D. varipalpis looks different to me. vide Irina Brake's website

the palps are yellowish with a black apex.

maybe Irina Brake will post an opinion.

It looks like a female Desmometopa varipalpis. Only the male has the enlarged palpus.
