Hi, today I caught a comparatively large hoverfly in our bathroom. I think, it could be a female of Xylota sylvarum, but I have never encountered that species before, so I'm not sure. Is the determination correct? Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), inside the house, bathroom, 23.06.2024, app. 12-14 mm Greetings, Uli ukursawe attached the following image: [268.7Kb] Edited by ukursawe on 24-06-2024 12:54 |

I think, female X. sylvarum is correct.
