Hi, I found this small diptera on my balcony on Sept. 21, 2015 (near Bologna, Italy) The wing veins and the antenna make me think of a male Cecidomyiidae. Is this correct and is it possible at all to get any further in determination? Thanks in advance ![]() mammut attached the following image: ![]() [128.04Kb] Edited by mammut on 21-09-2015 21:41 |

I agree with Cecidomyiidae, but I don't recognise the genus

Supertribe Cecidomyiidi, so we've narrowed it down to about half the species in the family. |
