Three roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) with myiasis. Two were still alive and were shot, the third was found dead. The larvae were L. illustris.

Allmighty God, who created all the biodiversity, took no troubles to invent effective grooming system for them and, with that, created a good niche for the maggots.

Intelligent design...? This seems to be a new phenomenon in Sweden though. We've had seven cases this fall on roe deer.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
