Early November, in my backyard in Vienna, on the same plant, but different leaves - one species or two? Could the male be Protoclythia modesta and the female P. rufa?

Did not catch the female, so this is the best I can provide

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

The male cannot be Protoclythia, as the 1st hind tarsomere is shorter than the 3rd.
The female appears to be Protoclythia though and I agree... it should be rufa Smile

The male I had meanwhile IDed as Polyporivora ornata, the wing venation seems to match
