Hello,

A Culicidae found in North of France, at Clairmarais, the 13 june 2020, in an undergrowth, in a coniferous and deciduous forest.
Maybe a female Aedes sp. ? Is it possible to say the species from these pictures ?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
