Obviously Clastobasis sp. (Mycetophilidae: Leiinae). Without a study of male terminalia can't say anything particular. Can be a new species as there isn't any species known from China but several from Eastern Palaearctic and Oriental region Olavi |

Hi Olavi: Thanks a lot! The newest version of the Catalogue of Life China lists 1 species in this genus, C. alternans. It is listed as occurring in Northwestern China. The specimen is a male one, and I will try to take a photo of the genitalia later to see if it helps. |

Hi, Sorry, I can't help. I need photographs from a cleared genitalia and from dorsal, ventral and lateral views (in some cases detailed views of some parts of genitalia like gunostyles or tergite 9, etc. are unavoidable). Could you, please, send address of Catalogue of Life China with indication to C. alternans directly to my e-mail. In some reaseon, I wasn't abel to find that. Cheers Olavi |

Hi, Thanks for checking anyways! Dissection/close observation of genitalia etc are still beyond my capabilities so I'll keep it at genus ID for now The link is sent to your email address. |
