Hello Nacho Cabellos, A species of Hippobosca. Because the scutellum is entirely light I'd say Hippobosca longipennis. A species parasitic on carnivores. But, according to fauna-eu, not present in Spain. For a better ID a specimen would need to be collected. Kind regards, Ectemnius |

Hi Theo & Nacho Cabellos, Actually the species appears to be common in the Sierra Morena on Foxes and Iberian Lynx (https://www.resea...s_in_Spain) Ascan be seen in the following examples the habitus and pale scutellum resemble the one in the photo (https://parasites...3305-4-143) & (https://www.biodi...04557.html ) & (https://diptera.i...d_id=66370) Also there's a photo from an Isrealian specimen here on diptera.info (https://diptera.i...d_id=63458). Well, the last pic convinced me of longipennis. In some equina, the scutellum is 85 % light, only dark in the corners. This can be very tricky ! The colour of the wing venation, largely pale with only a very few dark vrossvein, is characteristic according to Theodor. Theo |
