The wing veins tell me that this is possibly a Musca - It is a male and eyes close together indicate Musca autumnalis and not Musca domestica. Rosevinge |

Hello Rosevinge, your photos are always very nice problem with Musca is that autumnalis and domestica are not the only options. Musca larvipara is difficult to separate from autumnalis. If you have Musca larvipara in your area, then this is a problem. Otherwise, it is probably Musca autumnalis. Hello John and Nini! Thanks a lot! And thank you for the interesting information! Musca larvipara is - as far as I know - not found in Norway, Sweden or in Denmark. So it is not very likely that "my" fly is Musca larvipara. Rosevinge |
