Hi Raimo, this is not Polietes, but very hard to guess a genus without seeing the wing venation. My gut feeling says this female could be Hydrotaea ignava.

look in spring for flies sunbathing on leaves at forest edges. Mainly males are very numerous then. They seem to defend their own small areas.
The much bigger Polietes lardarius I mostly find in late autumn (October/November) sunbathing on tree trunks.
