Descriptions of at least two mentioned species are available online:

Atylotus farinosus (Szilady, 1915) in Szilady, 1915 - Subgenus Ochrops, eine neue Untergattung der Gattung Tabanus L. 1761. (Dipt.) - Entomologische Mitteilungen 4 (4/6): 102

Haematopota algira (Krober 1922) in Kroeber, 1922 - Beiträge zur Kenntnis paläarktischer Tabaniden. (Teil I: Surcoufia, Heptatoma, Silvius und Chrysozona.) - Archiv für Naturgeschichte 88A (8): 143

Haematopota crewei Oldroyd 1952 is decribed in Oldroyd, 1952 - The horse-flies (Diptera: Tabanidae) of the Ethiopian Region. I Haematopota and Hippocentrum: 91 (only v. II (Tabanus) can be found online)

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
