Hi,

This fly I saw on the 24th August, it was a fast mover and rarely landed, it moved from flower to flower in jerks making a high pitched buzz. It was feeding on Veronica.

The wings have reddish veins, with the sun glowing on them they appeared red all over.

I haven't found anything like it, any clues?

Lincoln UK. This shot was a rare moment of rest.

Thanks! Smile

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
