It's hard to make out wing veins. My guess is Nemopalpus, which is distinguished from other Neotropical Psychodidae by the combination of * 14 cylindrical flagellomeres (excluding Psychodinae and Bruchomyia) * Rs forking into R2+3 and R4+5, each of which then forks (excluding remaining subfamilies other than Bruchomyiinae) If you will be routinely identifying South American flies a copy of Manual of Central American Diptera will be useful. It includes many South American genera. |
