Chinese wasp for ID

I think it's a Polistes. But, what one? It was bigger than most European Polistes. The same size than Vespula: maybe 2 cm. It was found dead in a into the Guilin airport. A friend suggst me Polistes aurifer but this species is North American and very different-coloured. Somebody can helps me? Thanks |

Polistes is ok, but for species identification a real specialist is needed. Polistes is a difficult genus, rich in species. Christian |
