There are a few photos from Stéphane Brule in French Guiana. Could anyone confirm whether I have guessed the correct family ... and possibly add any more information? I know I am mixing species in the same thread (for brevity) but really I only expect family-level IDs and I will label each with a letter code Species A ChrisR attached the following image: [61.51Kb] Edited by ChrisR on 26-02-2011 23:50 Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

Sciomyzidae. Maybe a Thecomyia. Wait for Nikita to confirm this genus. Edited by jorgemotalmeida on 26-02-2011 23:54 |

Interesting flies - I hope Nikita has time to cast his eye over them
