Hello,

At first sight, I thought this was one of those numerous little black bees we get at this time. Then, I saw this was a fly.

I know the point of view doesn't facilitate the identification.

I even thought it could be yet another Paragus.

Small dark syrphid with flat face - that wil be Pipiza or Pipizella species probably. My guess is Pipizella, possibly P. viduata which is very small.

Hello,

Just for the fun, somebody proposed also Heringia on another forum. But I think we're in the same region.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
