My first guess is Limnia unguicornis but that will need verification. It should be either Euthycera or Limnia but the small setae that separate these genera are not visible. Because of the blueish grey thorax with dark longitudinal stripes I think Limnia. I am open to other suggestions, though.

Ben, as far as I knowarista, antennae and striped eyes almost the same in Limnia and Dichaetophora. The best way is - Dichaetophora has scutellum with only two apical pointed up bristles, Limnia - with 4. + grey pleuras - Dichaetophora + it seems to me that femora basaly yellow and apicaly red-bronw is very Dichaetophora's Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

I think you're right Nikita. At enlargements of the pictures it's more or less clear that all flies only have two bristles on the scutellum. Thanks, Ben |

Ben, I have to add, that writing my previos thread I wrote Limnia, but I meaned Elgiva cucularia, the most resembling Dichaetophora Sciomyzidae. In case of Limnia, it works too, but there are more simple characters - darkened coastal margin of wing, wide longtitudal strips on mesotonum (1 or 2) and more short body.
