I'm rather sure that this is Bibio johannis male.

Thanks a lot. Searching in the gallery, I had found the male, but the only female looking rather like it was a B. pomonae, but as you had said it, this is a bibionid of late summer.

Bibio pomonae is larger and has less red on the legs.
