Hi everyone!

This is the second of yesterday's large Tabanus, that I consider as Tabanus bovinus. (See https://diptera.i..._id=117732)

Meadows with cows all around, limestone mountains.

Not much green in the eyes, but obviously no red at all on third antenna segment, so I think that it's not T. sudeticus var. perplexus. Abdomen dorsal and vetral seem to fit quite well for T. bovinus.

Length 20 mm

6. June 2026, Germany, Upper Bavaria, near the village of Ruhpolding, Hocherbalm at Mt. Hochfelln, about 1020 m a.s.l., coordinates 47.77072, 12.58771
