Hi! I'd love to read your thoughts on a small fly I found in Andance, 07, France (in the south half of France), in a dry grassland. I found it on feces (likely from an herbivorous). Maybe somewhere in Ephydroidea, as suggested by Dr. D. Obbard on iNat, or maybe Helemyzidae > Trixoscelis ? Additional photos on iNat here if you need some, I can also try to get better views.
