Hi

I took these photos in Malta, on 2024.March.19 - Marsaskala - MALTA

Platynocheatus rufus or macquarti?

What are the distinct characters?

Hi,

As far as I know P. macquarti is a Sicilian endemic and P. rufus is the Maltese endemic. Characters to separate them are not known to me (except geographical distribution)

Best,
Jonne
