Chamaemyiidae, maybe a male Leucopis sp [I think]...

Thanks Roger, I see that it is a very complicated group. Could you recommend good sources that would be helpful at least for a safe genus ID? Hi Lorin, Well assuming I might be correct in my ID, I really don't know anything about these. I only photograph flies etc, no expertise in Id'ing them. Just go by how they look. Occasionally get it right There are a couple of threads I found regarding them from years ago. Might be of interest...
