Cecidomyiidae : Monobremia or Aphidoletes ?

Found on mint in Hereford, UK. Identified as a possible Aphidoletes on iNaturalist... but then I also found this thread mentioning Monobremia as an option : https://diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=39426 Is it possible to discern? Specimen retained at present if further detail helpful. But rearing out not possible I think - as I will be travelling for 6 weeks.
