Hello, this 5-6mm fly is from july in the austrian alps. My guess for the family was Muscidae, and the most similar species I found in the gallery was Thricops nigrifrons. It could be Thricops cunctans (I think I can guess the typical inner apical spur on hind tibia). No other picture ? No certitude for the moment, could be even another genus. Stephane. |

OK, the former hidden part of hind tibia chaetotxy is now visible (2 lond pd, dense ventral hairs) and leave no doubt that it is Thricops cunctans.
