Quite like C. formosa but with a dark stigma and spikes extending back from the scutellum. The antennae seem slightly longer as well. Am hoping for genus, possibly rank. Thanks for all the help so far

Yes, six spines on hind edge of scutellum => Beris sp. Maybe Beris geniculata: "Abdomen black, legs black with orange knees, antennae longer and more slender than in fuscipes." (Stubbs and Drake, Page 476) Edited by tristram on 16-08-2012 13:06 |

Beris, I agree. I only saw Beris vallata so far. This is not one of them. |
