Hi, first of all, is this Bellardia? I am assuming B. viarum, but don't have any experience with this species so far. So I wonder if the bristle on the 4th segment is a discal one (or does it count as a 'misplaced' marginal?) and if so, if it is disctinctive enough for a species ID. Found in a garden in Vienna. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |

those are not discals. discals are above the marginals and nearer to an imaginary center line down the abdomen. with yellow palpi you are again looking at B. vulgaris but a female.
