Hi,

yesterday I made a few pictures of a small, colourful fly. I'm pretty convinced it belongs to the Sepsidae family, but I'm not sure, which species. Could it be Sepsis punctum or is it not possible to specify the species?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), Garden, shrub leaf, 20.06.2024, app. 5-6 mm

Greetings, Uli

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
