Taken in southern England, 22/7/2006. Det. by Nigel Jones with the following comments: "This looks very much like Conops species, I think the long proboscis that is characteristic of Conops is tucked into the flowerhead. Probably C. flavipes judging by the rather pointed theca under the abdomen."
