There were several specimens on Daucus carota, all with one very thick antenna segment looks like it's the pedicel?. The pictures show two specimens maybe male and female because of the different antenna pubescence? 2016-08-21, northern Germany. Det. John Carr.

Yup, you can view the wing from above (dorsal side) and from beneath (ventral side).
