Could you confirm the determination, it's not Choerades fimbriata? From where is it?

It is from Foret de Massane, Pyrenees Orientale 0074.4719 FRANCE
ancient Fagus forest c 750m 6 September 1986. It was collected and determined by Martin Speight the Syrphidae specialist, possibly from Seguy Faune de France 17. I see this work is from 1927 so that may explain the misdeterminationSad. Do you need to see the specimen?
There is a second from F de la Gresigne (acute accent on the first e), Tarn, France, old Fagus-Quercus forest, 500m 4 August 1993 trackside on foliage in sun. This specimen was also collected and determined by Speight.

Choerades has been seperated from Laphria a long time ago. Based on the key by Geller-Grimm this should be C. fimbriata. Only first tergite has white hair. C. fulva the first two tergites have white hair.
