30th meeting of the German Dipterists, Blankenheim, 28-30 June
Dear Dipterists,
The 30th field meeting of German Dipterists Association will be held at Blankenheim, roughly 50km southwest of Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany on 28-30 June 2013. Everyone with interest in Dipterology is invited to attend the conference. Beside fly talks and excursions also the visit of the research collections in the Museum Koenig is offered. Today I learened that the eminent chironomid specialist Ole A. Sæther passed away last week. If I receive more information telling you about the life and works of this excellent researcher, I will post it here. In the mean time you have a look a the WikiPedia page on Ole at
