Hello! A rather large (5 mm) Sphaerocerid. Many of them at the house yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Possibly Lotophila atra? Thanks in advance! Sorry, I can't get the pics to attach . No special characters in name, only about 20 KB, tried to save them with different programs (Irfanview, Advanced JPEG Compressor, Windows Paint), resized them, but the forum software always tells: "Attachment file type not allowed"... I try it here in another post... [Later: no way... . Now I put the pics on my own server] Edited by Juergen Peters on 21-11-2007 23:32 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

I wonder whether the first two are the same as the third.

Hello, Gabor! Xespok wrote: I wonder whether the first two are the same as the third. The third is another individual. There were several at the wall that day. Do you think, it's a different species? Same species, the last is probably older and darker. I will check material tomorrow.

The broadened and darkened part of the costa distal or R1 is consistent with Lotophila atra.
