Hi,
I found these mines in one and the same plant (Arctium lappa).
The Mines at photo 1 and 2 might be caused by Phytomyza lappae? For picture 3 I am insecure. Maybe even another species?
Data:
25.08.2020
ruderal area near Furth im Wald, Bavaria, Germany

Greetings
Ingrid

Hi Ingrid, I think all 3 are Phytomyza lappae - the third leaf is much smaller than the others.

Greetings, Eric

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
