Hi Morten, I think it's a male Platycheirus scutatus: Yellow patches on abdomen small Foreleg tarsus and apex tibia broadened Fore femur with long hairs ventrally Coxa II with a rod-like evagination (Fotogids Zweefvliegen, André Schulten) Greetings, Eric |

Hi Eric Thanks for your help.  The shape of the tarsus for S. scutatus does not seem to match "my" fly. (Nationalnyckeln) My fly's face is also heavily projected - can not find this feature in S. scutatus....Morten |
