I went wrong somewhere when I tried to key this out - can anyone help me? Northern part of south Norway, Dovre, 24 June. Approx. 600 m asl. Size: 10 - 11 mm.

Hi Morten, I think it's a male Platycheirus scutatus:
Yellow patches on abdomen small
Foreleg tarsus and apex tibia broadened
Fore femur with long hairs ventrally
Coxa II with a rod-like evagination
(Fotogids Zweefvliegen, André Schulten)

Thanks for your help. Smile The shape of the tarsus for S. scutatus does not seem to match "my" fly. (Nationalnyckeln) My fly's face is also heavily projected - can not find this feature in S. scutatus....
