Hello,

A Sphaeroceridae found running across the leaf litter along with many other interesting specimens and Crumomyia, in a small wood. In North of France, Cassel, the 05 November 2020
They were very difficult to photograph and to approach but this one stayed on top of small twig for several seconds allowing me to make these shots Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
