Probably the first find in Norway.

Did you check Harald’s (Haraldseide) checklist and update in Norwegian Journal of Entomology ?

I've checked it and Artskart (Species Map) ... but you never know. perhaps it is found in an old insect collection...

OK, so I double checked. Mid tibia has one ad bristle, but the second one is broken off !!
Hence, it is the male of W. bohemani (gut feeling all along), and no longer a species new to Norway.

Next time, please don't break off crucial bristles Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
