Hello, Yesterday I returned from the Baltic shore where I met a lot of small flies on the washed-ashore seaweeds. They were shy and difficult to photograph. I add a collection in which individuals are numbered - I hope they belong to the same species. Are they scathophagids? Sundew Sundew attached the following image:  [179.98Kb] |

I think these are Heterocheila buccata (Dryomyzidae, Helcomyzinae) - another seashore specialist. If you can pick out one or two of these for the gallery, that would be very useful! (But we had better wait for confirmation from someone before posting them!  )
