Taken in Denmark the first of june. Following the key by Spencer (1972) I ended up with the alternatives orbiculata and pulicaria. The wing is 2 mm long. Two much smaller (but larger than acr.) hairs in front of and in line with the 2 dc bristles might qualify as dorsocentrals? The frons is easily visible above/in front of the eye when viewed in profile so I lean towards orbiculata. The red discolouring of wing and thorax is due to "compression sickness".
