Hello all, This diptera was collected in the Sierra Nevada near Mammoth Lakes, CA. My samples are largely chironomids but I wasn't sure about this one because of the lengths of the legs. I am sorry the wings are in poor condition. Help identifying to the Family level would be greatly appreciated. Best, Kyle kyle_leathers attached the following image: [141.72Kb] |

Chironomidae, subfamily Chironominae if I judge the proportions of the legs correctly.
