I think it could be Bibio lanigerus (a new species for me), but possibly Bibio varipes. Northern Slovakia, Kysuce region, 820 m.a.s.l., 5 May 2020, rather small Bibio but the smallest I have seen. Thank you in advance Matej treebeard attached the following image: [243.66Kb] |

Yes, this is B. lanigerus. By far the most common species, here in Western Europe. Only on sandy soils ! Theo |
