A female Platypezidae for sure (I wouldn't dare to tell more, though). |

Probably you are right, but some essential diagnostic characters are not visible. Please compare with my female of Protoclythia modesta (it seems to be rather common in some parts of Europe), 2 strong notopleural setae are clearly visible. On Acer, Oct. 21, 2007, Akhun Mountain, Sochi/Khosta, Krasnodar Territory, Russia.

But now, It seems that on both pictures is Protochythia rufa. P. modesta has black bands on T2-5 (like http://www.dipter...to_id=2514), no black color on abdomen in P. rufa.
