Hi Fly-readers, This fly I saw in 'Duin en Kruidberg', Dunes near the coast in North-Holland. First I thought it was Drosophila melanogaster, but I think it is too big for Drosophila m. It was about 7mm long. It looks more to a Suillia species to me, but I am not sure. I see some dark pattern in the wings, and dark stripes on its back (next to tergite's) Any idea? Regards, Robert |

Suillia sounds quite right to me.
