Can anyone help me to identify this fly?
I took the picture of the first one on October 12 2007 in my garden in Putte, The Netherlands and the second one (I believe this to be the same species) today.
Thanks in advance,
Niek van Wijk

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
