Hi, Can you help identify this insect? I originally thought it is a wasp but I think it have only two pair of wings and the antenna is short (fly like) so I started to get confuse is it a fly? Thanks zcuc attached the following image: [77.47Kb] |

yes, it's a fly... Ulidiidae, --------- alceae (I don't remember the genus ) |

Thanx, The weird swell abdomen and wasp eyes confused me a little. It's a female for sure since I caught it laying eggs (with cool telescopic oviscape) as you can see in the following picture (hard shoot, was too windy that day).
