Hello! I needed a long time searching this little (2,5-3 mm) animal among the Empididae and Hybotidae in the gallery - the one that mostly resembled it, was the last one of all... : Trichinomyia. Is that correct? Visited the light tonight in our garden (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Hello, Igor! igor wrote: Trichinomyia flavipes (female) is correct. Thanks! I as a layman can't decide, who's wrong or right , but as I wrote, Trichinomyia seemed to resemble my fly the most... Hi Juergen, The shape of the wing basal cells clearly indicates that your image is Hybotidae not Empididae (Rhamphomyia). Please take a look: http://diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=2190 All the best, Igor |
