I have some ichneumonidae from 15-18.08.2007 (Poland, Gdansk) that I did not identified yet.
I know it is very difficult family.
Could you suggest some identifications?
I can take of course better and detailed pictures.

I have numbered those pictures to keep order in this thread. For an expert of this family it is easier to compare them in one thread rather than a lot of threads.

In "Code of Conduct" of this forum I have read: "Please try to keep the number of species per thread restricted to one or a group of related species at most."

Sorry for troubles.

Hi Robert,

Pic 2 : Ichneumoninae, wait for CThirion
Pic 3, 4, 8, 9 : Tryphoninae. For more precision, give us the detail of the head and wing venation.
Pic 9 : Pimplinae

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
