Hello diptera-reader, Last week I saw this kind of diptera on mushrooms in the Amsterdam woodforest. I like to know what kind of diptera this is.. Perhaps Phaonia pallida? (red/orange coloured body) or is this fly(the head&body) too smalll for Phaonia species. Size: 8-10 mm I can't find information about occuration of Phaonia pallida in the Netherlands, is it a common fly? Robert Edited by Robert Heemskerk on 22-10-2005 11:14 |

There were about 30 flies on this these mushrooms. |
