Hello, This fly overwinters in great numbers in our summerhouse in south of Sweden. I assume it is a Pollenia, maybe even P. rudis? Is it possible to ID from these pictures? I still have the fly collected so I can check further details. Best regards, Thomas

Pollenia is OK. Try the key https://quelestce...132016.pdf and have a look at Stephen Falk's site https://www.flick...686275806/ that might be helpful. Regards Sundew |
