Hello, On 22 and 23 October 2018 in the south of France, on ivy. Several males (with feathery antennas) and several females. A little less than 2 mm Are they the same species and can the genus be identified? Thank you for your help. Thank you very much John, For their reproduction, I read that they need the living water of a river. This one is 500 meters from my house. Chironomidae can therefore go far enough, perhaps to find their food! |

Subfamily Orthcladiinae includes some terrestrial species. |
